Here are some tips for saving money when searching for your perfect wedding dress:

• Buy your gown through the mail. You might find some wedding dresses at a good discount since you cut out the middle man. If it makes you nervous to order your own gown this, way perhaps keep this in mind for your bridesmaids. If they are paying for their own, they will thank you for saving them some money.

• Buy your dress of the rack. This is what I did with my dress. I tried it on and it fit like a glove. It was in a size that they would not have recommended for me if I would have ordered it, the only thing was that it had a small footprint on it. They steamed cleaned it for free and it looked like brand new.

• Look on e-Bay or in the classifieds. If not for the gown itself, you can find your accessories such as the vail or tiara. I am looking to sell my tiara (worn only once) which retailed at David's Bridal for $125. Contact me if you're interested. See, you're saving money already.

• Buy your gown in the offseason. Check stores between Thanksgiving and Christmas, this is generally they're slow time.
